Chicken Rogan Josh, with Mashed Potato - How Very English!

Lunch today was another delicious meal cooked by Mr.R.
A seriously tasty chicken Rogan Josh, served with sweet potato mash; with lots of lovely creme fraiche, cabbage, carrots, and an aubergine, onion, and garlic concoction.

See, I can keep it short. Unlike the blog post I uploaded a little while ago (the post before this post), which was also a food post. Chicken, in fact.

That just goes to show you can't judge by first impressions, or you can, but maybe you'll misinterpret the facts.

We do not eat a lot of chicken. We do not eat a lot of meat. Actually a lot of our meals contain no meat at all, not that we're vegetarians, or vegans, we just like to have variety in our diet - it's the spice of life.

Spice! That's one thing we do eat a lot of.

Oops, I'm starting to rambling, and now as is pretty evident, this is no longer the first two sentences that I originally intended to write.
I'd written them in my head, and honestly thought I'd sit down type them, add the photo and that would be it. That would be the shortest blog post I've ever written. Ha!
Oh well, this is still pretty short, and it is probably the shortest one ever anyway.
Unless of course, I just keep typing.......
Arghhh!
I'm finished!

I like quotes.

Spring Has Sprung

I'm English, talking about the weather comes naturally. ;)
Speaking about the weather, it seems as though lately the weather has improved. When out walking the dog we've noticed tiny buds appearing on the trees, and yesterday morning I saw one tree where the buds have opened in to a beautiful splash of yellow against the dull cloudy sky.

Hopefully it's a good sign that warmer sunnier weather is on its way.
Having said that, it wouldn't surprise me if we got some snow because for the past few days the sky has been almost white, the wind has been blowing a gale, and the temperature feels like it's dropped quite a lot.

I do prefer to be hot every day, yes I mean hot not warm, but I also appreciate the changing weather as the seasons make their presence known. Autumn is always especially pretty and colourful.

Kate Middleton Drops a Sprog

Kate Middleton has given birth to a baby boy. 

The future king, after Charles and William, weighed 8lbs 6oz. 

It's here! The newest addition to the British Royal family arrived today, a son for Kate and William. 

Just before 6am this morning Catherine and William were driven to hospital where they entered via the back door.  

Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, gave birth to her first child at the Lindo Wing of St Mary'sHospital in London. 

Prince William jumped for joy, grinning from ear to ear. Well, I like to imagine Wills punching the air in excitement as his son came in to the World. 

The newborn royal baby is third in line to the British throne. 

No doubt the Worlds media who have eagerly been waiting at St Mary's, some for as long as three weeks, must be relieved that their wait is finally over. 

I'm not a royalist but with Great Britain recently winning the tennis, thank you Andy Murray, the Tour de France, thank you Chris Froome, and doing well in the cricket, this birth seems to be continuing the feel-good vibe in the country right now, which definitely makes a pleasant change. 

Congratulations on the birth of your baby son Kate and William!
